Taras Voloschuck’s A.T.M.O.M., a second half of collaborative noise/ambient project B.A.R.D.M.O.M., now presents his new work called «Таёжное» (Tayozhnoe – in Russian it means an adjective for the word «taiga», a wild Siberian forest).

The title says for itself: here is more than hour of powerful dark ambient heavily soaked with forest rains, forest darkness and forest winds. Tons of taiga’s field recordings make this work sometimes noisy, sometimes meditative – just like a forest itself.

«Purification» by С1-117 is a piece of old good industrial and classic dark ambient. The man behind the project defines Maeror Tri и Lustmord as his key points but their creativities are just guidelines for С1-117 but not examples for imitation.

Based on noises of various nature, this work looks like cold and lifeless sound canvas composed of rustles, cracks, processed field recordings, weird voice samples.

This stunning work by Russian industrial project R6 reveals its amazingly high level of composition and quality. «Ritual Of North» smoothly combines powerful dark ambient, fine work with voice samples and field recordings, noise elements.

But the main thing is that awesome atmosphere of enigmatic coexistence of Orthodoxy and ancient pagan culture existed in Russian North as well as meditation and mental unity with The Nature.

This work creates an unique feeling of «the call of the blood», appeals to subconsciousness, to tribal memory.

«H2OCO2» is the next Jan Kees Helms’ experiment with field recordings, a new chapter in his sound research of world elemental essences. With abstract approach he’s trying to discover mysteries of ordinary but very important things. And field recordings are the tools which help him to extract and to process «voices» of that essences.

This album is dedicated to studies of water and carbon dioxide sounds. Two unique microspaces created by Jan Kees Helms are different but look like very familiar thanks for author’s laborious task which helps to unmistakably recognize these essences by its «voices».
