Two Russian ambient project from DNA Production catalogue unite in their collaborative effort to create this split release. Alexey Oleinikov as I.M.M.U.R.E. and Seclorum with his new project Inner Struggle, both of them contribute a track to the album.

Inner Struggle’s track called «Blackout» is full of dark and calm drone ambient with deep and evenly breathing devoid of peaks in sound.

And «Time To Pretend», I.M.M.U.R.E. contribution, has a great difference. Very nervous and disquiet, it’s similar to early I.M.M.U.R.E. works. Rough and angular composition made of tense ambient layers, looped noise fragments and cold synthetic melodies rise gradually and develop in almost 20-minute track.

This release is an introduction to Parchim existentialist work called «City».

The City eats and breathes. Slick wormy life crawls in its womb, and there are parallel worlds crawling like a snake. Sleeping bodies melt, and somewhere in the City faces of Eternity overcome midnight tints and the grip of human factor.

Even dying, you become a part of City’s body, its thoughts and wishes everyday translation. Like an immense bundle of fears and depression, with naked soul and flesh you presses your lips to City’s mouth and feet. But sometimes it wants blood…

Measureless Painting, a project of Alexey Belich, is back with new album called «Восхождение (Ascension)». It is composed in usual Measureless Painting’s way of industrial collage with a social orientation.

«Восхождение (Ascension)» consists of two different stories about two different Russians who became popular at their childhood. A story about fame which influenced their life.

«Сострадание (Compassion)» is the tragic narration about Nika Turbina, Russian poetess who became very popular at the age of 10. Her life was impetuous and bright like a bonfire but she can’t cope with it and finally committed suicide at the age of 27.

«Стремление к совершенству (Aspiration For Perfection)» starts with long and chaotic ambient soundscape looking like a colour childish dream but later it turns to sound collage telling about fate of Russian actress Natalia Guseva. She had played the leading part in very popular children’s series called «Guest From The Future» and at once became an idol for whole generation. Unlike Nika Turbina, Natalia Guseva chose a quiet life. She had declined actress career and live her life as a common person, same as millions of Russian people.

Release title is a misspelt word «asphyxia» that means air insufficiency which attends central nervous system and blood circulation disorders.

This collaborative work have been started by Vitaly Maklakov who selected unreleased Obozdur tracks created in spring / summer 2008 and sent it to LN 313 via internet.

LN 313 has reworked Obozdur sound sources. He has added something new to it changing each track in his own way. When reworks were done, LN 313 has sent tracks back to Vitaly.

Under LN 313 influence Obozdur’s impulsivity and anxiety have became a bit abstract. Sound has got sharpness and coldness, textures have lost its homogeneity but have put on depth.

581C part «Evangelion» is a single long track inspired by anime series with same name. It’s dark and claustrophobic ambient that sounds like mystical noises in a forgotten space station.

Tiredness, distraction, anxiety, waiting for better times – all these things are in the first track «Twilight At 14 O’Clock».

And the second track «Weekend Weather Forecast» is alongside tiredness again, satisfaction, limpness, meditative immersion in sound ambience, positive mood, slow reactions to small changes in ambience.

Vitaly Maklakov’s Obozdur presents another work that inherits all Obozdur’s features like multidimentional sound layers, fine work with micronoises, plenty of different sound materials harmoniously combined with each other, whimsicality and non-linear composition.

But «Two Different Parts Of One Day» has its own key feature. Strong dub influence and accurate rhythm structures discover the new side of Obozdur’s balance on the edge between experimental ambient and post industrial. That surprising combination directs dark and anxious Obozdur music at the contrary vector to the positive calm side full of meditative loops and relaxing slow rhythms.
