This compilation is dedicated to DNA Production second anniversary. Two years ago the first DNA Production release was out.
Despite label's traditions, we invited mainly foreign musicians who aren't in DNA Production catalogue before.
This huge, almost two hours long compilation is created in drone/dark ambient way, and certain tracks with noise and field recordings elements point out compilation's own distinctive ambient style.

Russian ambient project Numb Silence makes its debut on DNA Production with short work called "Excelsior!".
The basis of this work is an extremely static and solid drone ambient. Inspired by "Excelsior!", a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, title composition has fragments of melancholic melodies floating in gloom and suppressing drone. The second one, "Air Of Bright Nights" presses a listener with its dark atmosphere where even rare melodies help to create an enormous picture of deserted space somewhere between depressive wakefulness and instinctive escape from reality.

Inner Struggle is back shortly after its debut work "Burning Down The Past" was released in November by DNA Production. New EP called "Justified Moments" is shorter but more expressive and emotional.
These four tracks balance on the edge between light and fluid ambient and tense drone ambient. Listening to it, you could sink in the waves of echoing ambient layers which roll over elements of urban field recordings.

Deep and tough chords, guitar drones thrown each on other with an overlap. Drones repeated cyclically and inarticulate whisper upon it - in this way Purist new instrumental piece starts. But don't compare "Stillstand" with godlike "Sunn o)))" drone masterpieces or with early works of legendary "Black Sabbath". Yes, there are similar features but when "Stillstand" reaches its middle point, saxophone improvisations cut through drones. A bit schizophrenic, it sound very good and appears as that so-called "funeral jazz" developed by German band "The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble", a fellow-countrymen to Purist.
But despite these strong influences and associations, in this work Purist members prove they have their own distinctive features. In awesome final they create leisurely improvisation duel between melancholic saxophone and depressive guitar chords hovering over the mass of chaotic drones.

Inner Struggle first solo work at DNA Production wins over listeners witn its completeness and polish. It's like an ancient peat lake with dark waters. Rain and wind paint weird dark ambient traceries on the lake's cold waves of heavy and hollow drones keeping its mysteries and fears under the surface of deceptively calm waters.
No matter where the lake are - in primitive forest, in forgotten glen or among ruins of abandoned industrial area. No matter how this music sounds like. It could have many names but it always has its own distinctive features: conceptual completeness, integrity and inner power.

"Sadness", the new work from Russian dark ambient project Itzli, shows its obvious creative progress in comparison with first Itzli work released as a part of the split album "Waves From Sick Mind / Blue Bird". Preserving initial strength and gloominess, Itzli considerably improved in composition and emotional tension degree.
Musically "Sadness" differs from standard dark ambient because of good and balanced neoclassical inclusions which accentuates individuality of each tracks as well as the album in whole. And emotionally material assumed some gothic features expressing the dark side of Itzli creativity: melancholy turning into depression, unconscious anxiety, reticence and despair.

In this abstract noise/ambient album Russian noise project Drugcomputer explores how they see the progressive process of society cybernation, how human individuals depend on it and which consequences are behind this process.
Uncommon for russian digital noise sound rarefaction and smoothness as well as balance and absolute inhumanity in concept distinguish this work.

Two Russian ambient project from DNA Production catalogue unite in their collaborative effort to create this split release. Alexey Oleinikov as I.M.M.U.R.E. and Seclorum with his new project Inner Struggle, both of them contribute a track to the album.
Inner Struggle's track called "Blackout" is full of dark and calm drone ambient with deep and evenly breathing devoid of peaks in sound.
And "Time To Pretend", I.M.M.U.R.E. contribution, has a great difference.Very nervous and disquiet, it's similar to early I.M.M.U.R.E. works. Rough and angular composition made of tense ambient layers, looped noise fragments and cold synthetic melodies rise gradually and develop in almost 20-minute track.

Polish sound designer Cezary Gapik aka CEZAR presents the retrospective compilation of his most significant tracks previously included in CEZAR's past works self-released mostly as CD-Rs.
Six deliberately impersonal isolationist tracks are composed of plastic, viscous and static minimal ambient layers with a slight touch of electroacoustic. Looped and evenly pulsing synthetic drones integrate in abstract soundscapes adding meditative features in completely lifeless and isolationist emotional atmosphere of this work.

This collaborative work between two Russian industrial artists consists of six diverse pieces - deep, primitive and dark.
All these tracks are composed on basis of heavy and a bit noisy dark ambient layers saturated with raw and hollow industrial rumble. And on this basis abstract noise associations create unique constructions - somewhere rare, somewhere intensive, looped or unstructured.
Prevailing in the first half, noise inclusions reach the highest mark at short interlude called "THJHJHGI2". Then it instantly makes way for droning raw soundscapes occasionally appearing as faint minor sounds while hollow dark ambient layers seem to fill whole world around.

Nearly two years ago DNA Production was ran, and the first release in its catalogue was Fosel's work called "Triangulum". Now, after sixty albums released, DNA Production proudly presents "Equilibria", the new release from Fosel.
Stylistically this work is similar to "Triangulum" but a little bit deeper and integral. It has the same background, abstract sound spaces harmonious in its minimality. Spaces are different for each track but are always constructed from atomic and elastic sound waves with the smallest cracklings, rustles and other concrete sounds. In these spaces melancholic melodies appear and go away imperceptibly, gentle melodies for meditation and quiet contemplation.
Also "Equilibria" inherits finely balanced composition and expert sound processing which makes it possible to reach its staggering extensionality and transparency.

I.M.M.U.R.E., who contributed a lot to DNA Production catalogue in the past, now presents a new considerable work with clear composition and idea.
This album called "Somnia", a Latin equivalent for English "dreams", is a compressed flow of dream essences expressed in sound. Against all expectations, it's not calm and fuzzy soundscape but intense and droning ambient layer on background with dense build on "natural" sounds layer in front. Throughout all 43-minute piece minimal and powerful background layer is continually competing with "natural" sounds while clear light consonances hover over all.
Emotional peak of the piece is in the beggining of last third when Troum-like dry pulsations raise and begin to support "natural" sounds layer harmoniously interlacing and painting unusual pictures of dreaming subconsciousness.
And in the end of "Somnia" is the same haze of "natural" sounds floating above droning background.

16 minutes of post-apocalyptic droning, phantasmagoria of a world immersed in eternal dream by last war of humans.
Barren soil, destroyed concrete castles, abode of spectral shadows hallmarked with their past. They listen to the song of wind roaming among ruins. On the edge of oblivion they dream of stars in the sky lost forever in a haze of dust.

Dark ambient project Epsilon Eridani presents slightly unusual work. It's called "Retrospective" and is the set of the Mexican outfit's best tracks mixed and performed by Juan Pablo Valle, project mastermind.
Nine deep and multilayer dark ambient tracks imperceptibly segue into each other creating seamless majestic sound canvas. Field recording experiences mix with touches of religious voice samples as a frame for slowly changed spatial soundscapes.
This is the music to listen in loneliness and darkness with shut eyes. This is springboard for dreaming subconsciousness painting weird pictures in listener's inner vision.
