Project #4: "Our Demons Hide Near The Place Where Children's Fears Sleep" Compilation

Эта компиляция задумывалась еще в начале прошедшей зимы, одновременно с сборником "Fall Asleep Ghosts".
Мне импонируют концептуальные работы, особенно те, которые составляются из казалось бы несовместимых треков. Так составлялась компиляция "Could We Live Forever?", идею которой я почерпнул из своих детских переживаний.
Так было и с текущим сборником.

"Chora", трек Marc-Henri Arfeux, не вошедший в "Fall Asleep Ghosts", поразил меня своей яркостью и напомнил детские сны, которые я бы не хотел вспоминать. Это был толчок к кропотливому отбору подходящих треков. Чуть позже я добавил в список трек "Uktha" от Indo и "Sna" от Aevum Spiritus, и тогда уже стала вырисовываться точная картина концепции этой компиляции.

Как отца маленького мальчика, меня крайне тревожит то, что при всем своем желании я не в силах полностью оградить его неокрепшую психику от жестокого воздействия окружающего мира – грязного, несправедливого и равнодушного даже к детям.

Именно это беспокойство – основная идея этого альбома. Беспокойство и желание напомнить всем, кому это не безразлично, что нужно попытаться помочь сегодняшним малышам избежать тех потрясения, которые, возможно, были у нас самих в детстве.
Попытаться оградить неокрепшую психику детей, сохранить их более чистыми и здоровыми.
Создать лучшее будущее.
Лучшее, чем наше настоящее.

This compilation had been planned in the December 2009, at the same time with preparing "Fall Asleep Ghosts". I like theme albums, especially that works which consist of seemingly incompatible tracks. I worked this way when I was preparing my first compilation "Could We Live Forever?". Then I was inspired by reminiscences of my childish disillusionment. And by the way, that work has theme taken from my childish impresssions too.

"Chora" by Marc-Henri Arfeux, the track not included in "Fall Asleep Ghosts", was the first point. I have been stunned with its brightness. It was just like my child dreams I would like not to remember. Then I started to select proper tracks. "Utkha" by Indo and "Sna" by Aevum Spiritus were next ones, and at that time I have had exact picture of this compilation.

As a father of small boy, I'm very worried about my failed attempts to protect my son's immature psychic from harsh influence of the world around. It is the anxiety that became the main theme of the compilation. Anxiety and strong desire to remind all parents that we have to help our babies to escape from emotional shock we experienced in childhood.
It was a desire to prevent all possible fears, to keep children's psychic clean and healthy.
To create a better future for them.
Simply to create a better future.
Better than the present.
