(DNA 79) Il Taglia - Selection (2010)

"Selection" is a collection of songs that takes some important moments from long collections never released ("Exp09" and "Elec09", the first one starts from guitars, the second one from synths), plus one trip of acoustic guitars, banjos and echoes ("January 2009") and some quiet moments from "2008". A very spacey track released recording over and destructurating a song of a friend of mine...

It's very emotional work. Light and romantic, it's sometimes sad and very human, sometimes cold and abstract.
Melodic guitar improvisations are the core of the album. They're the bricks for sound constructions created on unstable foundation of light ambient layers. The constructions are so light and clear, intricate and fanciful, full of shades and very logical.
"Selection" by Il Taglia is the real creative work which not needs tags or descriptions. It's a fusion of emotions and sound design, romance and mathematics.

(DNA 78) Post Mortem - Full Mouth (2010)

"Full Mouth" is the second release of Post Mortem about intimate home and amateur movies on internet. Movies without music, just the sound of the video-recorder and the room where the video is taken and, of course, sounds from the throats of the people who are filmed.
The composition is a reflection about submission, power and being a star.

(DNA 77) CEZAR - The Limestone EP (2010)

DNA Production continues collaboration with Polish musician Cezary Gapik. This time we presents his new work, the footage from few months before which was published on extremely limited mini-CDR for friends only.
The album is composed in drone/dark ambient way. It slightly differs from the Cezary Gapik's first work released at DNA Production which was full of minimalism and isolationism.
"The Limestone EP" is the short and bright experiment with cold clear ambient and vast soundscapes. It looks like a bit lifeless and creates an atmosphere of isolationism.

(DNA 76) Jan Kees Helms - H2OCO2 (2010)

"H2OCO2" is the next Jan Kees Helms' experiment with field recordings, a new chapter in his sound research of world elemental essences. With abstract approach he's trying to discover mysteries of ordinary but very important things. And field recordings are the tools which help him to extract and to process "voices" of that essences.
This album is dedicated to studies of water and carbon dioxide sounds. Two unique microspaces created by Jan Kees Helms are different but look like very familiar thanks for author's laborious task which helps to unmistakably recognize these essences by its "voices".

(DNA 75) Leere 86 - Leere 86 (2010)

This more than twenty-minute work created by Ukrainian project Leere 86 is a new chapter in DNA Production history.
It consists of lo-fi post rock, ambient and shoegazing combination and forms tight and expressive atmosphere which reach its peak at second track, the pure post rock pearl called simply "II".

(DNA 74) Epsilon Eridani - Lamentos Lejanos (2010)

"Lamentos Lejanos" is the Epsilon Eridani second full-length album created for DNA Production. In contrast to debut work, new one is fully consist of fresh tracks.
This release discovers new elements in project creativity. It has less standart dark ambient and more new age and light ambient features which become a counterbalance to massive noise structures pulsing on background and creating sound pressure. And there is the culmination of the pressure when noise loops come to end interrupted by clear and extremely cold ambient in "Immer Schnee In Silenzio". This track is absolute winner, it wins over with its expressive vocal samples and atmosphere of tragedy and stoicism.
Inspired by music of Sofia Gubaidulina, "Immer Schnee In Silenzio" slightly differs from other tracks in musical and emotional sides. After this impressive peak album goes to coda, a long bunch of two dark claustrophobic tracks which are full of voice samples and chorales wandering in dark closed spaces, stumbling on walls of noise interferences...

(DNA 73) Wialenove - Sirens From The Sea (2009)

It's very sensory work. It makes listener to sense a sound in the noise, to feel a rhythm in this chaos. To forget rules. To destroy rules and to create a new rule consist of destroying all other rules.
Close a loop, repeat it many times, find an equilibrium inside yourself. Reach a resonance, set your feeling free, let the resonanting waves crush, break, dissolve your consciousness. Fall into noise, vanish away in incipient chaos, find the sound in the noise, find the structure in the chaos. Twine chaos in loops, pulsing loops on the framework of the rhythm. Get a form, get rules, destroy that rules, break that form...
Wialenove creates intricate allusion to Masami Akita's works. Sea sirens (whales indeed) whistle enthusiastically, storm wind roars, ocean breathes. Ship's rusty boards cut waves cheeks. Their bitter acid splashes erode rough steel. Dolphins ultrasound tears radio waves, distortes Morse code, blows up tympanic membranes. Maddened seagulls rush between grey clouds and dark waves crushing ship tacle.
"Sirens From The Sea", a psychedelic cacophony for dadaist relax.

This compilation is dedicated to DNA Production second anniversary. Two years ago the first DNA Production release was out.
Despite label's traditions, we invited mainly foreign musicians who aren't in DNA Production catalogue before.
This huge, almost two hours long compilation is created in drone/dark ambient way, and certain tracks with noise and field recordings elements point out compilation's own distinctive ambient style.

(DNA 71) Numb Silence - Excelsior! (2009)

Russian ambient project Numb Silence makes its debut on DNA Production with short work called "Excelsior!".
The basis of this work is an extremely static and solid drone ambient. Inspired by "Excelsior!", a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, title composition has fragments of melancholic melodies floating in gloom and suppressing drone. The second one, "Air Of Bright Nights" presses a listener with its dark atmosphere where even rare melodies help to create an enormous picture of deserted space somewhere between depressive wakefulness and instinctive escape from reality.

(DNA 70) Inner Struggle - Justified Moments (2009)

Inner Struggle is back shortly after its debut work "Burning Down The Past" was released in November by DNA Production. New EP called "Justified Moments" is shorter but more expressive and emotional.
These four tracks balance on the edge between light and fluid ambient and tense drone ambient. Listening to it, you could sink in the waves of echoing ambient layers which roll over elements of urban field recordings.
